Bonnie Jean Pickett passed away on May 7, 2015. She was 87 years old. Bonnie was born on July 11, 1927 to her parents Benjamin and Anna Stilts. She received her Bachelor’s degree at University of Washington, and earned her Master’s degree in education at Portland State University. She worked as a school teacher at Washougal High School, and was a member of the Washington Education Association, as well as the National Education Association. A lifetime resident of Camas, Bonnie enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, golfing, and making delicious homemade jams and jellies. She was loved by many, and will be deeply missed. Bonnie is survived by her daughter JoRene (husband Keith) Strobel of Milwaukie, Oregon; 2 grandchildren: Aimee and Shane; and 3 great-grandchildren: Madison, Maloree, and Charlie. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles R. “Dick” Pickett. A celebration of Bonnie’s life will take place on May 16, 2015, 10 AM, at Brown’s Funeral Home.
