Justin James Lansing Rae-Thornton passed away peacefully at home with his loving family surrounding him after a bravely fought battle against cancer on September 15, 2016. He was 24 years old. Justin was born on August 5, 1992 to his parents Kimberly Sue Rae and Michael Louie Thornton in Alma, Michigan.Justin was a 7 year resident of Woodland-Camas, formerly of Clackamas. He enjoyed all sports, weightlifting, Xbox, music and his best companion, his dog Kyah. Justin was always the brightest and most caring person in the room. He lived for being around his family and friends. Survivors include: His parents: Kimberly and Gary Grimes of Camas, and Michael and Lynda Thornton of Woodland; His siblings: Brendan Thornton, Jordan Thornton, Brittney Thornton, Matthew West, Luke Parrish, Maxwell Grimes, Madison Grimes and Dwight Hunter; His paternal grandmother Sherry Flagg, and his maternal grandparents Tina Smith and Daniel Rae. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 1st at 4:30 PM at the Crossroad Community Church in Vancouver. Brown's Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
