Nora Black Kyte passed away peacefully on December 13, 2016. She was 82 years old. Nora was born in Kanab Utah to her parents Claude and Nina Black. Her family moved around early in her life to various places in Utah, California, and Idaho, finally settling in the White Salmon WA area in 1950 where she attended her Junior and Senior years at Columbia High School. She later married and raised five children in and around the White Salmon area. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a member of Gleaners and even a Cub Scout leader for a time. She actively served those around her whether they were family or friends. Survivors include two sons, Kevin Kyte of Camas, WA, Dan Kyte of Vancouver, WA, and a daughter, Erin Huerta of Salt Lake City, UT, along with nine grandchildren, Bruce, Jessica, Maxwell, Benjamin, Thomas, Jeremy, Noah, Desirae, and Sasha Kyte, two great-grandchildren, Noelle and Reuben Kyte, three brothers, Dennis, Roger, and Boyce Black, and a sister Darlisa Black, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Nora was preceded in death by parents Claude and Nina, brother Sheldon Black, and sons Dave and Gregg Kyte. A memorial service will be announced to family and friends at a later date.
