Debra Sedaker

Obituary of Debra Lynn Sedaker

Please share a memory of Debra to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Debra (Debbie) Lynn (Allen) Sedaker was born in Akron, Ohio on May 3rd, 1955.  She passed early morning Wednesday, Oct. 25th at home surrounded by her loving husband, family, and pets.

Debbie was an attentive and devoted mother and homemaker.  She excelled in the kitchen and prepared intricate meals for her family.  Holidays were her favorite times to try an array of dishes and Christmas was not complete without an assortment of her homemade cookies, often prepared with her daughters.

Debbie is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Stephen P. Sedaker.  She is also survived by her children:  Jason Allen, Rachel Coleman and her husband Al, Sean Sedaker and his wife Brittany, and Sarah Sackett and her husband Danny.  She had four beloved grandchildren:  Desmond and Lucas Sedaker, and Fox and Delilah Sackett.  Debbie also leaves behind her mother Lois Allen, sister Sherry (Gary) Doak and brother Bruce Allen and many nieces and nephews in Akron, Ohio.  Debbie was preceded by her father William Allen, younger brother Kenny Allen, and older sister Carol Kay.

When Debbie wasn't keeping up with her four grandchildren, she was making beautiful quilts.  One of which won a special award at the Clark County Fair and was a wedding gift to her Son and Daughter-in-law.

Her unbounded love did not stop at humans.  She generously provided for our extra adopted family; dogs and cats, occasionally birds, and the squirrels who loved having her as their guardian.  She would love to sit and watch nature, as all living things around her benefitted from her presence and love.  She never needed anything more than to know all were happy and healthy.  She kept them diligently fed with backyard feeders, and collected an assortment of squirrel keepsakes.  Her backyard was a haven for wildlife and her garden was always lush and abundant with color.

Debbie had an incredibly charitable heart.  She participated in charity walks, local fundraisers, memberships and charitable organizations.  She was always eager to give to the local children in her community.  She found comfort in her passion for the Lord, who she turned to in times of hardship.  Her faith led her to many amazing friends and opportunities to share her giving heart.

Debbie laughed easily, treasured playing games, and loved her family unconditionally.

Debbie was loved greatly and will be very much missed by all.

There will be no service at Debbie's request.
