Obituary of Rosella Jane Wilder

Rosella Jane Wilder passed away December 19, 2017 at her home in Camas, WA.  Born on September 12, 1923 in Bruce, Wisconsin, to Eugene L. and Hazel J. Brainerd, Rosella was 94 years old.

A Camas resident since 2005, Rosella was formerly of Moscow, Idaho where she and her husband Jesse lived for 36 years. Rosella loved to cook and bake and feed family and friends. Rosella was first a member of Lacamas Bible Baptist Church, Camas, then Laurelwood Baptist Church, Vancouver. Most of all, Rosella will be remembered for her devotion to family and to God.

Rosella is survived by her children David Wilder of Port Alsworth, Alaska, Marilee Hobson of Redmond, Oregon, Marilou Clark of Beaverton, Oregon, Richard Zemke of Wildwood, Illinois, Daisy Browning of Camas, Washington,  Juanita Larson of DeSmet, Idaho, Louise Gray of Moscow, Idaho, Dale Wilder of Post Falls, Idaho, Mark Wilder of Moscow, Idaho, Lloyd Wilder of Fairfield, California, Ruby Wilder of Post Falls, Idaho, Pamela Willms of Post Falls, Idaho, Arthur Wilder of Redmond, Oregon, Laura Wood of Pulaski, New York, Gloria Wilder of Bend, Oregon, and Deeanne Lambert of Albion, Washington, brother Harold E. Brainerd of Bonita Springs, Florida, 64 grand children and 81 great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Jesse T. Wilder, her parents, Eugene L. and Hazel J. Brainerd, children Paul E. Wilder, Sharon R. Gomberg, Donald W.Wilder, and Starr Goerzen, brothers Frank  Brainerd, Adron Brainerd, L. Roy Brainerd, Max Brainerd, and sisters Lavon Wilder, Dorothy Newman, Maxine Lange.

There will be a Celebration of Rosella’s life on January 20, 2018 at Laurelwood Baptist Church: 17015 NE 172^nd Avenue in Vancouver.  Interment will be held at the Fern Prairie Cemetery in Camas.  Brown’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
