Obituary of Myrl W. Bush

Myrl Ward Bush, 82, of Camas, Washington died March 10, 2005, at Legacy Emmanuel Hospital, in Portland, Oregon. Surviving are wife Lorraine E. Bush, daughter Janett Smith, Janett's son's; Timothy T. Bush, Ned Gosnell, stepchildren Karen Knapp, James Andrews, Carol Carlyle, and Guy Andrews. Myrl's ten step-grandchildren include James Jr., Amy, Jammie, Jessica, Jason, Joshua, Sarah, Shannah, Matthew, and Ashleigh. Myrl leaves behind six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and sisters; Evelyn (Sally) Cochenour, Arlis Rohan, and Barbara Reynolds. Myrl was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, three sisters, one son, and one daughter. Myrl was born January 15, 1923 in Foster, Nebraska, and was the seventh child of a family of eleven. He moved with his family to Washougal in 1936, and attended Washougal High School, before he graduated from Camas High School. He married Carol Baker and was in the United States Army during WWII. After he was discharged he worked in sales and owned his own tire business in Longview and LaGrande. He moved back to Vancouver and sold real estate though out Clark County, working for various agencies and owning his own Myrl Bush Realty for many years. He married Lorraine Bush in 1983 and they retired to her parents farm, "Webberley's Trees Farm" in the Fern Prairie areas of Camas, where he was currently living before his passing. Over the years he was active in the Clark County Builders Assoc., Clark County Multiple Listing Service, Real Estate Board of Realtors, American Legion, Elks and other fraternal organizations. He was highly respected for his business knowledge and advised several successful Building Contractors in establishment of their businesses. He was known for his quiet discernment, listening carefully to what others had to say, had a quiet sense of humor that took you by surprise, wisdom, understanding and sound advice was sought after by all and always appreciated. He loved and cared for his wife and best friend, Lorraine Webberley Bush and his family sharing all of his love and knowledge with them. He shall be forever loved and missed by all who knew him. Services will be held on March 14, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Home; 410 NE Garfield Street, in Camas, Washington. A Graveside service will follow at the Fern Prairie Cemetery. Viewing will be held at Brown's Funeral Home on Saturday, March 12, 2005 from 1:00 to 7:00 pm and Sunday, March 13, 2005 from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Brown's Funeral Home in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
