Laurel Nutting Obituary

Laurel Amy Nutting peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2007 in Vancouver. Born on June 15, 1923 in Williamson, New York, Laurel was 83 years old. Laurel worked in a production factory during World War II. She was working as a waitress in 1951 in Las Vegas when she met her husband Elzie Claire Nutting. Later on in life, Laurel worked as a medical records director in Saudi Arabia, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Tabuk. After her retirement, she moved to Washougal where she lived the last fifteen years. Laurel is survived by her sons Charles "Chad" Stauder, Gerald Stauder, Clifford Nutting, and Kenneth Nutting, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Stauder, and second husband of 15 years Elzie Claire Nutting, brother Kenneth Lafler and sister Evelyn Schoenwald. There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, June 15th at 4:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
