Obituary of Vernon Gene Langford

Vernon Gene Langford was born in Gardena, California on January 18, 1957. He left this world on November 10, 2022. He is survived by two sons, Shawn Kyle Langford of Sherwood, OR and Travis John Langford of Vancouver, WA and one daughter, Audrey Rose Langford of Camas, WA. four granddaughters, Madlyn Langford, Savannah Langford, Abbey Langford and Rose Mary Langford, two brothers, Jeffery Alan Langford of Tononpah, NV and James Ronald Langford of Littleton, CO, and four sisters, EllaMae Langford-Reyna of McLean, TX, Jennifer Lee Langford-Wier, of Middleville, MI, Karen Elisha Langford of Kileen, TX and Denise Marie Langford of Vancouver, WA. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Roger Langford, his mother, Joann Harlan Langford and his sister, Laura Kathleen Langford-Chapman.
Gene served in the Army for six years and continued his service in the Reserves retiring as a Master Sergeant. He received many commendations including Artillery Survey Specialist. For the rest of his life he supported many military soldiers and their families including sending packages to deployed soldiers and their families. Gene loved baseball and coached his sons’ Little League teams taking them to the All Stars games multiple times. Gene loved the Denver Broncos, the Colorado Rockies and the Seattle Mariners.
