Obituary of Daisy Orina McClure

Daisy Orina McClure peacefully passed away at her home in Vancouver, WA on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Born on September 13, 1948 in Hutchinson, Minnesota to John Wilbur and Amy Pauline (Brody) Thompson, Daisy was 76 years old. A graduate from Ellensburg, Washington in 1966, Daisy obtained her Associate Degree from Yakima Business College. She married her husband Terry L. McClure and had three daughters. She worked for Central Washington University for numerous years before moving to Yakima. She then worked numerous years as a bookkeeper for Akland Pump and Irrigation in Yakima. Later in life she moved to Vancouver to live her final years of her life with her daughter. Daisy was an avid fan of bingo, gambling, crabbing, camping, watching her favorite tv shows and crocheting. Most important to her was spending time with her loving family and having the honor to help raise four of her grandchildren. Daisy is survived by her loving daughters Tracy Ortiz, Nicole (Wes) Mayo, Heidi Flores, Brothers Bill Thompson, Don Thompson, Ray Thompson, and sister LaVonne Johnson, eleven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 1:00PM at West Hills Memorial Park in Yakima, Washington.
