Craig Robert Mickes, 66, of Camas, Washington, passed away June 7, 2026, from natural causes.

Craig was born on December 18,1959, to Charles (Chuck) and Caroline Mickes in Vancouver, Washington. A Fern Prairie resident, Craig graduated from Camas High School then filled his life with music and sports.

Craig loved to attend concerts, go camping and share a hot coffee or cold beer with you. As an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching NASCAR races and multiple sporting events, especially the NFL and WNBA. Craig’s positive attitude and heart of gold supported him as he navigated the challenges of being born with cerebral palsy. Craig was the person to call if you were having a bad day. His outlook on life was guaranteed to make you feel better.

Craig is survived by his mother, Caroline Mickes; his two sisters, Corina Gesler (Joe) and Carla Slocum (Clint); and his brother, C.J. Mickes (Laurie). He was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Mickes in 2019.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to United Cerebral Palsy of Oregon & SW Washington.
