Lavonna Marie Shotwell peacefully passed away on Monday, February 07, 2011 at her home in Vancouver. Born on June 13, 1924 in Orchards, Washington to James and Olive Krout; Lavonna was 86 years old. A lifetime Vancouver resident, Lavonna worked as a bus driver until retirement. She was a season ticket holder for the Portland Trail Blazers and enjoyed watching as many games as possible. Family gatherings, traveling, dancing, gardening and playing cards will be what friends and family remember most about Lavonna. Lavonna is survived by her loving children David (Barbara) Shotwell of Seattle, Steven (Marcia) Shotwell of Selah, WA, Ken Shotwell of Vancouver, KayCee (Jerry) Coday of Vancouver, and Kamee (Darrel) Williams of Vancouver; brothers Clell Krout of Yreka, California, and Wayne (Anne) Krout of Portland; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years David Shotwell in 1973. A celebration of Lavonna's life will be held on Saturday, March 5th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Hostess House, 1007 N.E. 6th, Vancouver, WA.
