Shirley Ruth McKirchy passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at her home in Vancouver, Washington. Born on April 15, 1925 in Britt, Iowa; Shirley was 86 years old.
A Vancouver resident for the last one and a half years; Shirley was formerly from Davenport, Iowa. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Shirley is survived by her loving daughters Kathleen, Karen, Jeanne, and Patricia; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years Donald J. McKirchy in 2009.
There will be no public services. Private interment will be held at Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery in Rock Island, Illinois. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
