Gerald Richard Kraff Sr. peacefully passed away with his family at his side on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at his home in Camas. Born on September 2, 1937in Syracuse, New York to Marvin and Catherine (Irwin) Kraff; Gerald was 74 years old. A Camas resident since 1965, Gerald worked in the construction industry and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church ELCA in Camas. He will forever be remembered for his love for his family and spending time with his friends. Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Kathleen "Kay" Kraff at home; son Gerald "Jerry" Kraff Jr. of Vancouver; daughters SusanMarie (Brian) Akerson of Nevada, Marilyn (David) Meldrich of Hoquiam, Washington, Kathy Meyers of Vancouver, and Patricia Kraff of Vancouver; sisters Marilyn Cowen of Syracuse, New York, Kathleen (Ken) Hadley, of Washougal, and Mary Atkison of New York; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Tina Marie Kraff in 2006 and brother Robert Kraff. There will be a celebration of Gerald's life on Friday, September 16th at 11:00 am at Zion Lutheran Church in Camas with a reception to follow. Private inurnment will be held at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Donations in Gerald's honor may be sent to the Shriners Children's Hospital. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
