Obituary of Gail Turner

Gail Marie Turner passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Peacehealth Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. Born on January 26, 1958 in Seattle, Washington to Leon Edward and Catherine Sarah (Holbrook) Whetzel; Gail was 53 years old. A lifetime Camas-Washougal resident, Gail graduated from Camas High School in 1977. She worked as a child care provider and had quite the love for all the children she took care of over the years. Gail also loved spending time gardening and being around animals. She will forever be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends. Gail is survived by the love of her life for 26 years Monte Turner at home; daughter Tara Lynn (James) Milburn of Washougal; father Leon Edward Whetzel of Camas; and siblings Barbie (Ed) Bancke of Camas, Lynn (Harlan) Rhode of Vancouver, and Chris Whetzel of Colorado, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother Katie Whetzel in 2008. There will be a celebration of Gail's life on Thursday, January 26th at 5:00 pm at Fern Prairie United Methodist Church: 26112 NE Brunner Road, Camas, WA 98607. Interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver, Washington. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
