Clinton LeRoy Kinch peacefully passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at his home in Vancouver. Born on December 17, 1929 in Holyoke, Colorado to Clinton Wesley and Annie Marian (Rears) Kinch; Clinton was 80 years old. A Vancouver resident since 1947, Clinton graduated from Vancouver High School in 1948 and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1950. He spent his career in the US Military serving in the Air Force, Air National Guard, and the United States Army respectively. He was honorably discharged on December 31, 1989. He enjoyed photography, planes, and visiting the beach. Most of all, Clinton enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends. Clinton is survived by his loving wife of five years Mary at home; children David (Kathleen) Kinch of Vancouver, and Lori (Doug) Thomas of Vancouver, step-children Joe (Eileen) Hodge of Vancouver, Wanda (Larry) Weeks of Vancouver, Bonnie (Steve) Pratka of Vancouver, Connie (Bill) Maxwell of Lake Oswego, Oregon, Keirene (Sam) Adams of Vancouver, and Karyn (Rob) Gibbons of Mollala, Oregon; first wife Marilyn Aldrich of Vancouver; four grandchildren, and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his second wife Irene Kinch in 2003. There will be a Graveside Service with full Military Honors on Friday, November 19th at 11:30 am at the Vancouver Barracks Military Post Cemetery. A Celebration of Clinton's life is to follow at Immanuel Lutheran Church: 8310 MacArthur Blvd.; Vancouver, WA 98664 at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clinton's memory may be made to Kaiser Hospice. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
