Dorothy Elizabeth Peet peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Monday, December 6, 2010 at her home in Washougal. Born on January 14, 1918 in Stearns, Kentucky to Harrison and Ada (Jones) Mason; Dorothy was 92 years old. A Washougal resident for over seventy years, Dorothy worked briefly for Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill in Camas. After starting her family she left the mill and raised her family. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, rock hunting, herding the cows, and flowers. Most of all, Dorothy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Dorothy is survived by her loving sons Lester (Mardell) Peet of Washougal, Leonard (Cindy) Peet of Washougal, and Dean Peet of Idaho; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gordon Peet and numerous brothers and sisters. There will be a graveside service for Dorothy on Friday, December 10th at 2:00 pm at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 9th from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
