Obituary of Bessie Murphy

Bessie Roberts Murphy peacefully passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 in Camas, Washington. Born on August 3, 1910 in Pleasant Shade, Tennessee, Bessie was 96 years old. Bessie worked as a Sales Representative at Graces before her retirement. She was an active member of the Granny White Church of Christ in Nashville, Tennessee before moving to be closer to her family. She enjoyed cooking, frying chicken, growing tomatoes, keeping a clean house, and traveling. Most of all, Bessie loved her family and her Lord. Bessie is survived by her daughter Pat Williams of Washougal, grandsons Chad Denny of Farmington, New Mexico, Sean Denny of Orlando, Florida, great-grandson Collin Denny of Suquamish, Washington, and sister Mrs. Easter Hiett of Carthage, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years Clyde B. Murphy (1976), grandson Madison Denny (1995), three brothers, and four sisters. There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Bessie in Nashville, Tennessee. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Nashville.
