Obituary of Aileen Wilson

Aileen Rae Wilson passed away peacefully August 18, 2007. She was born June 3, 1927, in Pomeroy, WA, to Elza and Bonita Light. She moved to Vancouver with her parents in 1943 and attended Vancouver High School. Aileen enjoyed bowling and golfing; her teammates always included her close circle of friends from the Vancouver Elks. She participated in the Elks social activities for more than forty years. She especially enjoyed their formal dance nights. Aileen's passion was her flower garden. She loved wildlife and especially her cat, "Ripper". Aileen's social event of the season was always the Christmas Eve family gathering in her home. Her children and grandchildren were always in attendance. In recent years, the celebration also included her great-grandchildren.
Aileen is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Brian and Elmer; and her granddaughter, Jennifer. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Bob; her sisters, Evelyn Eldridge and Kathryn Ragan; her five children: Gary Sork, Lorinda MacDonald, Robert Sork, Penny Conly and Renae Ruge; Stepson, Tony Wilson; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, September 14, 2007 at the Elks Lodge in Vancouver from 2-5:00 P.M. The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Aileen's name.
Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas is in charge of arrangements.
