Frances Hazel Hughes passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2007 in Vancouver. Born on April 24, 1923 in Washougal, Frances was 83 years old. Frances worked at home as a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing for trout, crafting, going to bazaars, making Christmas ornaments, learning about the history of the Camas-Washougal area, gardening, and traveling to Alaska. Frances is survived by her cousin and caretaker Fred Buslach (Marian) of Vancouver, sister-in-law Thelma Prause, nephews Mitch (Lori) Prause of Peoria, Arizona, Jim (Glenda) Prause of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Dave (Mariann) Prause of Arlington, WA, niece Toni Lynn (Stefan) VonRintelen of Dusseldorf, Germany, 17 great nephews and nieces, and numerous other cousins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Virgil Hughes (1988), and brothers Alvin and Lyle Prause. There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Frances on Saturday, January 13th at 1:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Viewing will be held on Friday, from 10:00 amt to 5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home, and Saturday prior to the service. Interment will take place at the Camas Cemetery. Donations in Frances' memory may be made to the charity of choice. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
