Obituary of Frank Pumphrey

Frank M. Pumphrey peacefully passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 in La Center. Born in Centralia, Frank was 59 years old. A 47 year resident of Clark County, Frank was a graduate of the University of Washington, receiving his Engineering Degree in Forestry. He was a member of the Professional Land Surveyor's of Oregon, and a Charter Member of the Battle Ground Elks Lodge #2589. He enjoyed hunting, camping, reading, and hiking and driving in the forests. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Joann at home, sister Ruth Pumphrey, sister-in-law Sharon Kolbe, brother-in-laws Roy, Ed, and Darrell Dix, and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Lynne Ketola in 1997. There will be a celebration of life service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank's memory may be sent to the American Cancer Society. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
