Obituary of Margaret Nelson

Margaret Ida Nelson peacefully passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 in Vancouver. Born on January 23, 1911 in Minnesota, Margaret was 96 years old. A Camas resident since 1945, Margaret worked at home. She was a former member of the Camas Rebekahs Lodge, and a member of the Zion Lutheran Church Dorcas Circle. She enjoyed playing bridge, watching Perry Mason, Matlock, I Love Lucy, and videos, and loving her family and her Lord. Margaret is survived by her daughters Joan (Larry) Moore of Hockinson, Arla (Dave) Mattson of Camas, and Dorothea (Richard) Chevron of Clatskanie, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years Arden Nelson (1986), sisters Stella Reiners, and Eva Chappell, and brother George Haack. There will be a graveside service for Margaret on Friday, May 11th at 2:00 pm at the Camas Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday from 10-noon at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Memorials in Margaret's memory may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital: 3101 SW Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland, OR 97201. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
