Laurence "Larry" Ivan Anderson peacefully passed away at his home in Washougal on Sunday, February 20, 2011. Born on August 13, 1922 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Carl and Laura (Holiday) Anderson; Larry was 88 years old. A 21 year Washougal resident, Larry was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Larry started working for Pacific Northwest Bell in December of 1954 as a yellow pages salesman. In 1957 he was promoted to management and was promoted in 1966 to computer programming converting the directory deliveries. He spent his last years of his working career in the directory department before retiring. Outside of work, Larry was a member of Orchard Hills Golf and Country Club in Washougal. Larry is survived by his loving wife Ann Anderson at home; son Raymond C. Anderson of Fremont, California, and grandchildren Ryan Anderson, Eric Anderson, Shaun Howerton, and Rhett Howerton. He was preceded in death by his loving daughter Carole DiSalvo in 2008. There will be a celebration of Larry's life on Saturday, March 5th at 2:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home: 410 NE Garfield St., Camas, WA 98607. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
