Dona May McFarland peacefully passed away on Friday, June 8, 2007 in Vancouver. Born on March 21, 1937 in Menahga, Minnesota, Dona was 70 years old. A 25 year Clark County resident, Dona enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, spending time outdoors, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dona is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Robert at home, daughters Dottie Catron of Portland, Cecilia Jones of Idaho, Sandra Loos of Scappoose, Oregon, and Alison Schelling of Vancouver, sons Leion Brown of Portland, Jeff McFarland of Vancouver, and Carl Brown of Scappoose, Oregon, brother Alan Mattila of Camas, sisters Bonnie Spence and Winifred Hubbard both of California, 21 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughters Jeannie Marie and Bonnie Caruthers, sister Janet Mattila, and brothers Pete Mattila, and Bob Mattila. A Celebration of Life Service for Dona will be on Wednesday, June 13th at 1:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Viewing will be on Tuesday from 10-5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Vault interment will be at the Camas Cemetery. Donations in Dona's memory may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital: 3101 SW Sam Jackson Park Road, Portland, OR 97201. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
