Obituary of Carlos Slaughter

Carlos Eugene Slaughter passed away on June 23rd in Camas, Washington. Carlos was born September 23, 1988, in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Carlos grew up in Camas where he and his mother, Janis Slaughter, experienced a lifetime of loving journeys together. Carlos adored being with his Mother, loved her unconditionally, was a devoted son. Carlos graduated from Camas High School in 2007 and recently graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Psychology degree to be awarded. Carlos loved his music, soccer, snowboarding, skateboarding, working hard, and spending quality time with family and friends and loved his dogs, Aussie and Bernie, and cat, S'mores. Carlos spent many special times with his Mother and paternal guardian, John Wells, in Carson, WA, Steamboat Springs, CO., and Hood River and Grants Pass, OR. He loved being surrounded by his cousins Joel and Carly, his Aunt Corine and Uncle Carlos "Tio", Aunt Gale, Grandparents, John Wells and family friend Joel Server, Boise, ID. Carlos will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. Carlos worked for the Eastern Washington University Alumni Association. In lieu of flowers, he would be very proud of those of you that want to donate to the University's Alumni Association: 506 F Street, Cheney, WA 99004, 509-359-4550. "To my beloved Carlos, you have been, are now, and always will be most loved in my heart, my light. I will miss you for the rest of my life. I cherish all our memories. With forever lasting love, Your Mother and your animals S'mores and Bernie. There will be a candle light vigil for Carlos on Tuesday, June 28th at 7:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Private burial will be held at Pilot Butte Cemetery in Bend, Oregon. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
