Obituary of Kathleen Lou Linde

Kathleen Lou Linde passed away on December 8, 2014. She was 85 years old. Kathleen was born on March 10, 1929 to her parents Ora Carl and Muriel Deerwester in the small town of Cusick, Washington. She completed her master’s degree and worked as a teacher and a homemaker for much of her life. Kathleen was a 63 year resident of Washougal, and a lifetime member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She was a member of the W.E.A and the N.E.A, as well as a 17 year member of the Washougal School Board. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and attending sporting events. Kathleen is survived by her daughter Anna Linde, of Washougal; three sons: Brian Linde of St. Croix, Minnesota; Eric Linde of Vancouver, and Duff Linde of Washougal; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Jim and Don Deerwester, both of Newport, WA; sister Beth Stacy of Spokane, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Linde, and her sister Patricia Stillian. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, December 13 at St. Thomas Aquinas at 10 AM. Those who wish may make a donation in Kathleen’s name to the Friends of the Columbia River Gorge Society, or to the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society.
