Obituary of Alan John Long

Alan Long passed away on December 19, 2014. He was 58 years old. Alan was born on October 6, 1956 to his parents Aubrey “Tex” Long and Marjorie Medina in Santa Cruz, California. He spent his working life as a Truck Driver, but was also a musician who was a jack-of-all-trades, specializing in guitar. He especially loved country rock. Alan enjoyed classic cars, riding his Harley, and going on many camping trips with his family. He was a 25 year resident of Washougal, and a member of the Lacamas Heights Baptist Church. Alan leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Kenna Long; two sons, Travis and Gary; two daughters, Jessica and Nikki; two stepsons, Randy and Robb, as well as 13 grandchildren, his sister Audry, brother Daniel, and his mother Marjorie. He was preceded in death by his Father and his brother Leonard. A celebration of Alan’s life will take place on January 3 at 2:00 o’clock PM at the Lacamas Heights Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alan’s name to the Lacamas Baptist Church Building Fund.
