Alberta Nellie Dawson passed away on January 1, 2015. She was 81 years old. Alberta was born on May 10, 1933 to her parents Albert and Edith Dodson in El Paso, Texas. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Texas Western University, as well as her Master's degree in Math and Physics at Perdue University, going on to spend her working life as a computer analyst. She was a 23 year resident of Vancouver, and was a member of Clark County Genealogy Society, as well as a charter member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, in Vancouver. Alberta leaves behind her husband George F. Dawson at home, her daughter Janet (husband Patrick) Nelson of Camas, 4 sons Daniel A. Dawson of Key Largo, Florida, James F. Dawson of Vancouver, John E. (wife Sheri) Dawson of Vancouver, William A. (wife Amy) Dawson of Sunnyvale, California, and 7 grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, January 8 at 11 AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, with a graveside service to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Washougal.
