Dear Janice,
I am so saddened to read of Roger's passing. I have often thought of you and Roger and your family over the years and kept you all in my prayers. if you could, I would love to hear from you and would like to know what was the cause of his passing. I hope you are doing well, and am glad you have your loving family, and the comfort this must bring you.
God Bless you and your children. Roger was such a wonderful person. I am so shocked to read of his passing.
Very sincerely,
Diane (Valko) Strudwick

Dear Christy,
I just now read about Roger's passing and am so shocked. I have thought of him so often and shared stories of him with my husband Ivan over the years. He was such a special person. I cannot believe that he is gone. Ivan and I worked at the Penny Saver, and both of us quit once we graduated from Cal State U. long Beach. The day that we quit we walked into the front office (Brea, 1982?), and your mom was applying for a position at the Penny Saver! Did she ever tell you about this chance meeting? If you could write me back, I would like to know when your Mom passed, and also why Roger passed away. Thank you so much. I have the best memories of you and Rog and your dear Mom.
With much Love,
Diane (Valko Strudwick).

I and my wife, Lynne, are missionaries here in Cebu for over 28 years. I remember meeting Roger back in the early 1990's. He gave excellent counsel and advice to us at that time which was very helpful. We also met later with his wife and family.
I know Roger is enjoying the glories and peace and joys of Heaven.
He was certainly well known as a hard working missionary-apostle.
We pray for his wife and family. We only learned today of his passing.

Condolence to the family of Rev. Roger Tompkins, specially to his wife Janice. Thank you for your love to the Filipinos and for the many years that you have ministered in the Philippines. Your labor is not in vain in the Lord!
Roger will surely be missed at this year's annual Fil-Am convention in California, where he normally displays a booth of the mission work of MCN, and shares the report (from the mission field) of the wonderful things God has been doing through MCN.
The best way to honor his memory is to continue to pray and support the work of MCN.
THANK YOU to the family of missionary Roger Tompkins for allowing him to travel and minister overseas. God bless you!
