Matthew Forrest Nunes passed away on October 12, 2015. He was 33 years old. Matthew was born on August 17, 1982 in Portland, Oregon to his parents Bill Nunes and Robin Lander. Matt was a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest, and has worked nearly 10 years serving the Alzheimer’s community as a Kitchen Manager. Matt had a huge heart, and was known for his sense of humor, candor, sensitivity, musical talent, and of course his love for the Seahawks and Trailblazers. Matt enjoyed flying kites, watching Nascar, and playing with his dog, Sadie. Matt was loved by many, and will be missed deeply by those whose lives he touched. Matthew is survived by his loving wife Rachelle, his mother Robin Lander (husband Tom), his father Bill Nunes, sisters Michelle Rile (husband Darren), Amber Ferschweiler (husband Frank), Rachel Roselli (husband Adam), Melissa Standefer (husband Josh), Karlie Way and brother Wyatt Nunes, as well as nieces and nephews and close cousins Jacob and Brandon Baum. A celebration of Matt’s life will take place Sunday, October 18, 2015, 11 AM at Brown’s Funeral Home. Seahawk attire is encouraged for game day.
