I met Jan through Tai-Chi classes at both the Cascade Athletic Center and The Marshall Center. Often times I was the only guy in the class. Then Jan would stroll in. He was inspirational to me. He had health problems. But, he never complained. I also have some health issues and often did not want to go to class. Then I would think of Jan. He was 25 years older than me and he still kept plugging along. I will miss Jan. He was a good guy.

We enjoyed having Jan attend our Freemodel Art Guild as he loved art! We will miss his spunky personality! He was a fun guy!

To Jan's family,
I am so sorry that Jan has passed away. He was a wonderful man, so cheerful of disposition and interesting to chat with. He was a nominal member of our drawing group, Freemodel Artists Guild that met at the Marshall center where he practiced Tai Chi. It was he who made me aware of Tai Chi classes being offered at Cascade Park Athletic Club. We were in that class together for some time. Unfortunately, he often had to leave early because of his knee problems. I am so sorry for your loss.

Hello,
I just found out about Jan today. I am so sorry for your loss. I am the instructor of the tai chi class that Jan had been attending. I was a brand new instructor and Jan was always so patient and encouraging, not only to me but to all the other students as well. He always took the time to encourage new students to stick with it and enjoy the journey. "No Graduation" was his favorite saying. We will miss his smile and his good nature.
God bless you and encourage you,
Jill

Hello I am so sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolence.I would like to leave scriptural hope and comfort taken from the bible.John 5:28,29 reads,'Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out.'Revelation 21:4,'And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.'
