Eleanor Ross Knapp of Camas, passed away on December 17, 2015. She was 94 years old.
Eleanor was born on August 10, 1921 to her parents John and Ione Ross, in Imogene, Iowa. Eleanor has been a Camas resident since 1942, and retired from James River Paper Mill. She was a member of Alpha Nu Service Club, and was a Brownie Scout Leader. She enjoyed golf, and playing Bridge.
Eleanor is survived by her three daughters: Claudia Knapp of Portland, Mary Mayberry of Camas and Libby Knapp of Vancouver, her two grandchildren, Nicholas Knapp and Leo Mayberry, as well as four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, daughter Jane, and her sister Virginia.
There will be no services at the family’s request. A private family burial will take place at the Camas Cemetery. Those who wish may leave a donation to the Humane Society of SW Washington.
