Gerald Dean Krause passed away on February 18, 2016, he was 85 years old.
Gerald was born on September 27, 1930 to his parents Ernest and Clara Krause in Hope, Kansas. Gerald was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He received his Master’s Degree from Western Washington State College, and taught Industrial Arts at Washougal High School. Gerald was a resident of Washougal for the past 80 years. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Smith Reynold American Legion, Camas Lodge #1042 L.O.O.M, and the Washougal Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include his 3 sons: Terry Krause, Kelvin (wife Cindy) Krause, and Kent Krause, as well as his daughter Tamara (husband Rick) Nichols, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grand-daughter, and his brother, Delano Krause. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Darlene.
A celebration of Gerald’s life will take place on Thursday, February 25, 11 AM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Washougal, with a graveside to follow at Washougal Memorial Cemetery.
