I'm so sorry you have lost such a lovely lady so soon. I was happy to have had the opportunity to get to know Rosie on my visits to Vancouver. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife and I know she will be missed.

We were so sorry to learn about Rosie. We became acquainted with Rosie and Larry during Little League. Our son Roy and their son Shawn were good friends. Later, after our kids were grown I would see Rosie somewhere in the Camas/Washougal area (usually Safeway).
It was always so nice to see her sparkling smile and friendly hello. It was fun to catch up. To me Rosie was one classy lady.
I always enjoyed seeing their lovely flowers and lawn when I drove my their house. I will think of her fondly.

Of my most cherished memories from many years of jogging through the Hathaway Neighborhood is crossing paths with Rosemary & Larry out for their morning stroll. Always a friendly greeting and sometimes a chat about the good ol' days. It doesn't get any better than that! Heartfelt sorrow for the loss of a genuinely beautiful person - both inside and out.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Rosie was one-of-a-kind.... a gem of a wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her talents were numerous and her landscaping was to envy. She truly loved being outside in her yard making it so beautiful. She was also so proud of her family and the love exuded from her at all times. Her humor was wonderful and her way of making others feel important and meaningful was loving and sincere. Our friendship was brought to be by the friendship of our sons, Casey Shurm and Shawn. It was immediate and lasted for 40+ years. We will miss her so much; her smile, her laugh, all of her.
