Obituary of Gregory Quinn Early

Gregory (Greg) Quinn Early of Washougal died on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, in The Dalles, Oregon.  He was 68.  Greg had recently moved to the Oregon Veteran's Home in The Dalles, and enjoyed his brief time there, surrounded by the beauty of the Columbia River Gorge.

Greg was born to Richard and Margaret (Kinsella) Early on Aug. 6, 1948, in Minot, North Dakota.  He was the first maternal grandchild for the Kinsella family.  The family later relocated to Vancouver and eventually moved to Washougal, where Greg attended school and graduated from Washougal High School in 1967.  

After graduation, Greg married Ssherry Gustafson and soon thereafter was deployed with the Army to Vietnam.  Greg would go on to serve two tours to Vietnam.  After being discharged from the Army, Greg worked at Crown Zellerbach in Camas.  During his marriage, Greg and Sherry had two children; Gregory Early of Spokane, and Trent Early of Camas.  After his divorce, Greg enlisted in the Navy and served his country for another 10 years.  He worked the rest of his career as a mechanic.

Greg is survived by his two children; four grandchildren; his brother, Tom Early of The Dalles; and his sister, Mary Wallace of Washougal.

A  Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, July 15, at 2 p.m. at the Veteran's Memorial in Washougal Memorial Cemetary.  Following the service, the family invites guests to attend a luncheon at the home of Early's sister, Mary Wallace.
