Doug was a beautiful person. Warm, charming, kind and bit quirky. He was always able to put a smile on my face and hope in my heart. His sense of decency and compassion for others was only exceeded by his love for Mary; the love of his life. I am deeply saddened by the loss of this wonderful man, but am uplifted knowing that his last moments were spent with his courageous and loving Mary. My sympathies to all who mourn his loss and my thanks to the universe for allowing me the honor to have known him.
