Obituary of Brian Lee Mills

Brian Mills, 58, passed away November 9, 2017 at Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver following an extended illness.
Brian is survived by his son, Jonathan Mills; his mother, Lorene Mills; his sister and her husband, Susan and Mark Maszak (their children Serena, Alex, Sandra, Nathaniel and Benji), his brother Bruce Mills and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Mills.
Brian was a lifelong resident of Washington; raised in Washougal, living in the Montesano area for some of his adult life, and recently returning back to Washougal. He graduated from Washougal High School in 1977, then attended Clark College, concentrating in welding technology. After college Brian was employed at Hyster (Portland) as a welder, later at Mary's River Lumber Mill (Montesano) as a millwright and after that at HHH Tempering (Vancouver) manufacturing, refurbishing and installing glass tempering furnaces.
Brian enjoyed gardening, cooking and watching various wildlife - squirrels, birds, deer - that hung out around his home. He was skilled in metal working, wood working, car and household repairs, etc; many friends and family members benefitted from his generous help with whatever was needed. He had many travel opportunities while employed with HHH and enjoyed signtseeing in the various locations, when time allowed.
Brown's Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 2 at 1:00 pm , at Felix and Sharon Betcher's home in Washougal.
Brian, we miss you, and your memory will always be carried in our hearts.
