Obituary of Rebecca Rand

Rebecca Anne Rand peacefully passed away on Friday, October 12, 2007 in Vancouver. Born on July 14, 1958 in Portland, Oregon, Rebecca was 49 years old.
A Washougal resident since 1975, Rebecca graduated from Clark College earning a degree as a Registered Nurse. Through nursing she was able to travel the world working in missions in Belize, Thailand, and Salem Oregon, with Youth With a Mission. More recently she worked at Portland Adventist Hospital. She also enjoyed playing piano at Salmon Falls Church in Washougal, visiting with friends, gardening, and hiking. Most of all, Rebecca loved her family and her Lord.
Rebecca is survived by her parents Robert and Doloris Rand of Washougal, sisters Rachel Rand of Kazakhstan, Ruth Ellen Maletz of Hood River, Oregon, Rhoda Gigstad of Vancouver, Roseanna Tran of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Ramona Bogott of St. Petersburg, Russia, brother Adam Rand of Hood River, Oregon, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Rebecca's life on Saturday, October 27th at 11:00 am at Gateway Community Church in Washougal: 1235 E St. Washougal, WA 98671. Her burial was held at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Memorials in Rebecca's honor may be sent to Youth With a Mission: 7085 Battlecreek Rd SE Salem, OR 97317-9395.
Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
