Obituary of Helen Leona Sampson

Helen Leona Sampson, age 92 years, passed away  on December 5, 2017 in Washougal, Washington.  Helen was born to Homer and Alma (Ball) Lackey on April 16, 1925 in Camas, Washington.  She was a lifetime Camas-Washougal resident.

Helen worked at the Pendleton Woolen Mills (Finishing Department) in Washougal.  She attended Gateway Community Church in Washougal, Washington.

She is survived by her son, Allan (Irene) Sampson of Washougal, WA; three daughters, Ruth (Gary) Hansen of Camas, WA, Janice Dossett of Camas, WA, Audrey (Mike) Halstead of Brush Prairie, WA; brother, Everett Lackey of Hood River, OR; sister, Donna Hein of Washougal, WA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin Sampson and sister, Verna Bright.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at Columbia Ridge Assisted Living, 2300 W 9th St, Washougal, Washington.

Memorial donations can be made to the Gateway Community Church Memorial Fund.
