Obituary of Joshua Ryan Joyce

Joshua Ryan “Josh” Joyce died suddenly on March 23, 2018. He was 35.

Josh was born on January 31, 1983 to his parents Clare and James Joyce in Elyra, Ohio. He graduated from Camas High School in 2001. He was a veteran in the Air Force, specializing in Avionics and was active duty in the Oregon Air National Guard for 14 years.

Josh is survived by his mother, Clare “Joyce” Brisco of Vancouver, and stepfather David T. Brisco of Vancouver; loving brother Joseph James (wife Samatha) Joyce; sons Jackson Robert Joyce and Jacob Ryan Joyce and their mother Sarah Monear-Joyce; his daughter Evelyn Coralie Joyce and her mother Michelle Johnson; his loving auntie Bonnie Meritt, as well as many other loving aunts, uncles and brave friends.
He was preceded in death by his father James Richard Joyce in 1990, and his cousin SSGT Steven “Robbie” Goodson in 2008.

A celebration of Joshua’s life will take place at the Pearson Air Museum - 1115 E 5th St, Vancouver, WA 98661 - on Sunday, April 22 at 1 PM.
