Mae taught me. I was a teacher at JDZ when I first came to Camas. Quiet Mae, showed me wisdom and a few educational tricks. Through the years of knowing Mae, her courage and grace in teaching and family living were beacons of light. Too often I and my culture might not see the goodness and light in both success and difficulties. Never Mae, a woman I'll always truly admire and only hope to model in some small way. Thank you, Mae, for being and sharing how love and living can enlighten the world.
Your smiling picture here so reminds me of how endearing and quickly your smile welcomed and warmed so many of us.
Eternal peace be yours,
Connie Roach

I am so sorry to read of Mae's passing. She certainly touched many lives with her years of teaching and community activities. I am grateful, as I remember her advocacy for me and granting me college scholarships thru the Moose Lodge.
My prayers are with all of you, and may you be comforted with warm memories of years past.

I am so sorry for your loss. We will all miss her and I will never forget Christmas at your house years ago. Thank you for the memories.
