I met Rex in Germany in 1968 when we were stationed together in Frankfurt. After we were discharged he came up to Camas from Lakewood, CA. once to visit and said he'd be back someday to work and live. It happened and he made Camas home, working in the Mill and raising his family in Fern Prairie. RIP my friend.

I knew Rex through the paper mill. We worked on the paper machine clean up crew together for the ten years that I worked there. He was always the life of the crew, with his never-ending stories and boisterous laugh. He was proud of his family and would tell many stories of them. I haven't seen him for 35 years, but he would come to mind occasionally. Kathy and family I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure he was the heart of your family.

I will miss you more than you know. You were my only brother and my best friend. I hope you are with mom and dad and out of pain forever. I will always love you.
