Mr. Wallace Witt, 82, went to be with his Lord, on Saturday Sept. 29, 2012
Mr. Witt was born on April 16, 1930 at Le Mars, Iowa, to Julius Reinhold and Anna Bell (Moller) Witt.
He grew up and received his education at Le Mars and graduated from Central High School. He served with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during World War II. After receiving his honorable discharge he moved to St. Helens, Oregon and was employed with the Ma Bell Telephone Company.
In 1958 Mr. Witt was married to Peggy Hammond. They established their home in Camas, WA. Mr. Witt purchased the Lakeside Chalet Restaurant in Camas, several motels, and Wally's Antique Shop in Washougal, WA. They later sold the restaurant and retired. Peggy passed away January 1, 1996. In 1998 he married Ruby Webberly and shared 14 years together.
He is survived by his wife Ruby (home); daughter Lynde Janssen (Woodland, WA); step-daughter Carol Odenbrett (Vancouver, WA); brother Leonard Witt (Peosta, Iowa); sister Mildred Linquist (Vancouver, WA); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There was a celebration of life service at their home in Camas, WA for the family on Saturday, October 6, 2012. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
