Magdelyna "Peggy" S. Peterson peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2007 in Portland, Oregon. Born on April 9, 1928 in Manitoba, Canada, Peggy was 79 years old.
A 50 year resident of the Camas-Washougal area, Peggy and her husband lived the past year in Portland. She was a member of Hinson Baptist Church in Portland and a former member of Gateway Community Church in Washougal where she was very active in the church. She was an avid Republican who enjoyed reading, tutoring, community sports, the Seattle Mariners and the Washington State Cougars.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband Aldon "Earle" Peterson at home, daughter Michelle (Maynard) Spell of Meridian, Idaho, son Curtis (Amy) Peterson of Moraga, California, three brothers, six sisters, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service for Peggy on Thursday, December 6th at 1:30 pm at Hinson Memorial Baptist Church: 1137 SE 20th Ave. in Portland. Vault interment will take place at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Memorials in Peggy's honor may be sent to Hinson Missionary Fund.
