Obituary of Denise Michelle Martin

Denise Michelle Martin, 57 years old, lived in Washougal, Washington and died unexpectedly on June 5, 2020 at 7:15 pm PST, at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. Denise is survived by her husband, Phillip Martin; her sons, Alvin Smith Jr, Wesley Smith; her daughter, Shanta Smith; her grandchildren, Zene, Nalani, Noah, Cameron and Truth; her siblings, Debbie, Sharon, Kim, Thomas Jr. and many nieces and nephews whom she loved. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas Sr. Denise was born August 4th, 1962 in Philadelphia. She attended North East High School. She was married to Phillip Martin, a veteran of the United States Navy, on September 12, 1993. Denise worked many jobs as she supported her husband to include an English teacher, a caretaker to her father (Thomas) and supportive wife and mother. Denise was loved by many and an extraordinary woman who was also devoted to her children's wellbeing. Denise enjoyed simplicity and spending time with her husband and their many journeys through life together. She had an uncanny ability to reach many people and to show her love and support the best way she knew possible just by listening and offering words of encouragement.
