Obituary of Fred McKenzie King

Fred M. King passed away quietly on October 19, 2020 in Washougal, WA. Mac was born August 19, 1943 in Portland, OR and graduated from Hudson’s Bay HS in 1961, at which time he joined the Navy (SeaBee’s). He was a mechanic/inspector at Freightliner, retiring after 32 years. His interests included fishing, golfing, family time, volunteering at the Luepke Center and making connections with other ABBA fans from around the world. Mac believed there were no strangers, just friends he hadn’t met yet. Mac will be greatly missed by his wife, Judy King; daughters Karen Day (Tony) and Robin Webberley (Christopher); brother Joel King (Laura); sisters Maggie King (Bruce) and Melissa Sullivan; grandkids Ethen, Judah & Grace, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends near and far. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Elaine King; daughter Carey Lynn and siblings Timothy James and Carey Ann. He will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery during a private gathering of immediate family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown’s Funeral Home.
