James Gordon Jones, 85 years, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 in Camas, Washington. He was a 40 year resident of Portland, Oregon but was formally from Washougal, Washington. James was born on June 25, 1935 to his parents, Glen R. and Vesta M. (Barnhill) Jones in Vancouver, Washington. He graduated from Washougal High School. He worked in the Transportation Industry as a Machinist with the Portland School District. He was a member of the Machinist Union in Portland, Oregon. He was associated with the Jehovah Witness Church. He loved to fish and hunt. James is survived by his sons, Bob Jones of Camas, Washington, Scott (Kim) Jones of Camas, Washington; stepson, Mike Adams of Portland, Oregon; daughter, Sherry White of Washougal, Washington; brother, Grant N. Jones of Sacramento, California, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby M Jones; daughters, Shelly Jones and Julie Ulland. A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2020 at 11 am at Brown's Stoller Memorial Chapel, 410 NE Garfield St, Camas, Washington.
