Diane Marie Caughlan (Brown) passed away June 24th 2021 peacefully in her sleep. Diane was born on May 17, 1959 in Olympia, Washington. She was the third of four children born to Philip and Eleanore Brown Jr. She graduated from Olympia High School in 1977 and moved to Vancouver, Washington, to attend Clark College. There she held several different jobs and met and married John Patrick “Pat” Caughlan on April 12, 1980, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Olympia. They made their home in Hillsboro, Oregon, where they started their family. They later moved to Vancouver, Washington where she raised her three boys. Together they started Caughlan's Commercial Floor Coverings in the Portland metropolitan area where she worked until her retirement in 2011. She enjoyed her hobbies consisting of sewing, gardening, walking, and caring for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Philip & Eleanore Brown and is survived by her husband John “Pat”, her children John (Alona), Steve (Colbie), and Brian (Marisa), five grandchildren, and her sister and two brothers. In lieu of condolences the family asks for donations to be made to Clark County Humane Society or Discovery Recovery Addiction Treatment Center. There will be a Celebration of their lives on Sunday, September 26, 2021 from 12-3 p.m. at the Elks Lodge #823 in Vancouver, Washington. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown's Funeral Home in Camas, Washington.
