Verlene Cardon passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2007 in Vancouver, Washington. Born on October 30, 1941 in Roberts, Idaho, Verlene was 66 years old. A 45 year resident of Camas, Verlene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Prune Hill Ward in Camas. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and being with her family. Verlene is survived by her loving husband Mel at home, sons Matthew Cardon of Battle Ground, and Mitchell Cardon of Camas, daughters Verla Happell of Vancouver, and Valerie Chandler of Vancouver, father and step-mother Del and Marlys Schneider of Skamania County, sisters Marie Croll of Washougal, Sharon Dowden of Seattle, and Lynn Packard of Molalla, Oregon, eleven grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a Church Service for Verlene on Thursday, December 20th at 10:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Prune Hill Ward: 3017 NW 18th Avenue in Camas. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10:00-5:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas and at 9:00 am at the church on Thursday. Vault interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver. Brown's Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
