Sending my deepest sympathy to you All. Especially to little Stevie as I remember him moving in with Rich when his mother had suddenly passed. Richard took him in & loved him like his own. The same day Stevie lost his mother my mare passed away leaving her young 5 week foal. I kept my horses at Richards & he & I raised chickens together too! He was so kind & helpful.
It was pretty cool how little Stevie bonded with my young foal who had also lost her mother & he helped me care for Rosie. It was a beautiful thing & Richard was the greatest gift of it all. He had a kind heart & I cherish the friendship we had.
I was sad when he moved away but we saw each other a couple times after, and kept in contact.
I know he is in heaven with his family & we will all meet again on that beautiful shore.
I love you all my dear cousins & I extend my deepest sympathy for your loss of your Big Brother! Dad, Grandpa, & uncle.
Sincerely,
Shannon Reude Nickelsen.
