Obituary of Randolph Lee Krout, Sr.
Please share a memory of Randolph to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Randolph Lee Krout, Sr.
Born December 19, 1947, in a small duplex on 21st Street in Camas, WA. He was the 1st born of 13 children. He graduated from Camas High School in 1966. He started his long career with Crown Zellerbach after graduating working on the paper machines. He wrapped up his 30+ years at FiberWeb North America before retiring in the late 90's. He was a proud member of AWPPW Local 5 and supporter of the local Legion Hall.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents: Ralph Leroy Krout, Barbara Elaine Weidman (Krout) along with his siblings: Stanley Paul Krout, Samuel Marcus Krout, Cynthia Louise Krout (Drichas).
He bowled in the Clark County Metro area for most of his life. Bowling in numerous leagues and tournaments, he created many lasting relationships along the way. While he never landed a 300 game, his list of bowling accolades is admirable.
Randy also was a big fan of the game of baseball. He played as a young child and coached community baseball for a while. He was a lover of the Seattle Mariners and always enjoyed the radio game with his favorite cup of coffee.
Anytime opportunity he had, he was either on the fishing bank with the rest of the bunch or planning for the upcoming hunting season. He enjoyed a slow and simple life in his later years, writing novels. Always an advocate for our rivers and ecosystems. He will be greatly missed by many. May the steelhead run heavy, and the elk be endless.
Randy is survived by his two children: Debra, and Randy Jr., three grandchildren and one great grandson. Randy also leaves behind his siblings: Jonathon, Ralph, Barbara (Burden), Mary (Lewis), Timothy, Kevin, Daniel, Michael, and Matthew along with many lifetime friends.
As an avid fisherman, advocate for the Pacific Northwest and our outdoors, our family would appreciate donations made in Randolph's name to the Save Our Wild Salmon Coalition at www.wildsalmon.com
Per the family a service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown's Funeral Home in Camas, Washington. To send condolences to the family, please visit Randy's guest book at www.brownsfh.com
